This page contains images of post offices throughout North Carolina and is intended as a reference for those interested in North Carolina Postal History. The images are gathered from antique post cards and photographs. Images for each county have been placed into a pdf format file that can be downloaded by clicking on the county name below. Each image is annotated as Undated if there is no date associated with the image source. If the image source has a date associated with it, it is indicated below the image. Also if the post office’s location in the image is not readily apparent, it is noted bellow the image.
Currently the list of counties is incomplete, but as files are completed for counties they will added. Additionally, as new images are uncovered they will be added to the file for that county.
Our desire is that interested collectors will examine the shown images against their collections. When new post office images are found we hope that this new information will be submitted for consideration to be included in the image catalog. Please e-mail your data to:
